At Mr Chans, we are passionate about our wines and we probably have the most extensive selection in any of the St.Helens Restaurants.

There are over 40 bins with examples of the top classic appellations and a fantastic range of exciting and diverse varietals from around the World.



Red Wines

Candidato Tinto Tempranillo 2011 – Spain
Bursting with berry fruits and a creamy note on the nose. Full-bodied and fresh with hints of candy, and a long, complex finish.

Itynera Primitivo 2011- Italy
Attractive ruby red in colour with a persistent, juicy palate of baked fruits and some tobacco notes.

Finca el Paso Monastrel- Spain
Bright, juicy fruits with the depth and power of old vines: Monastrell gives the blueberry fruit and aromas of leather and spice, while Syrah adds some floral top-notes.

Finca La Colonia Barbera 2011- Argentina
Expressing all the fruit and freshness of the variety, this Barbera has aromas of red fruits, plums and raspberries. Long, elegant palate with more fruit notes along with some spice in the bottom.

Changyu Cabernet d’Est 2010- China
Attractive and typically Cabernet aromas of blackcurrants, currant leaf and mineral characterise the nose. The palate is clean, stylish and medium-bodied, with a fine freshness to depth. More than just a curiosity, this wine demonstrates that China has well and truly arrived!

White Wines

Candidato Unoaked Viura 2012- Spain
Our entry level wine is Spanish and dry and made from the Viura grape, easy drinking with crisp and fresh, green apple flavours.

Kleikloof Chenin Blanc 2012- South Africa
Very attractive nose with lots of tropical fruits such as pineapple, guava and citrus fruit. Intense palate following the characteristics found on the nose with a refreshing finish (Medium Dry).

Poema Rueda (Verdejo) 2011- Spain
Delicately fragrant on the nose, with typical Verdejo aromas. The palate is crisp yet rounded, with green apple and banana fruit.

Les Templiers Unoaked Chardonnay 2011- France
Crisp, ripe wine with refreshingly clean citrus fruit flavours and a rounded finish.

Gran Hacienda Sauvignon Blanc 2012- Chile
Crisp and refreshing, with aromas of grapefruit and lemon peel lending a fresh balance to the tropical fruit character, plus some herbal notes from a drop of Semillon in the blend. Vibrant and well-rounded.

Rose & Sparkling

Mon Roc Syrah/Grenache Rose 2011 – France
A vibrant and very refreshing rosé remincscant of sunny summer afternoons.

Nina Zinfandel Blush 2011 – Italy
Inviting aromas of redcurrants and orange zest, followed by a creamy medium-dry palate showing a nice balance of sweetness and fruit flavours.

Cotes de Provence Rose Carte Noire 2011 – France
Very, refined dry rose, with an attractive floral aroma, redcurrant fruit, and excellent length in the mouth.

Onbrina Pinot-Grigio Spumante – Italy
Delightfully light, elegant sparlding Pinot Grigio, with pear and melon fruit, delicate bubbles, and a crisp finish.

Ca’ del Console Prosecco Extra Dry – Italy
A classic Prosecco with aromas of white peach, pear and flowers. The palate is fresh, not too dry, and clean as a whistle all the way through to the sparkling finish.

Champagne Deutz Brut Classic NV – France
Beautifully pure, elegant wine, with a refreshing lemony aroma and a delicate mousse. Dry and with plenty of substance.
